Simon Whitworth – IT Specialist & Golf Monkey ‘Player’
Simon has been playing golf since he was 13 and an early achievement was winning the Hampshire Schools Team Championship. There have been a few trophies and medals along the way which even required the investment of a trophy cabinet. Rachel did insist that this was in Victorian pine to match the study! Simon is a committed and dedicated golfer and is proud that his home club is Blackmoor Golf Club. Simon has represented his club at a completive level and has participated in amateur events across Hampshire. Simon plays at least one round of golf each weekend and regularly slips out under Rachel’s nose down to the driving range!
Simon’s day job is an Network Systems Architect and for a large Unitary Authority.
Simon’s view of the game is based on the principle that ‘There is a perfect game of golf inside us’ . His current goal is tap into his potential and reduce his handicap to 5 . Like many golfers he would like to become more consistent in the way he plays and approaches the game of golf.
