Jedi trappings complete the fan

After i was a litttle lady, I used to liven up all the time, and not just for Halloween. We had a giant dress up bag brimming with costumes! My sister i would tear using that bag during playtime, and every day we had arrived different characters.

We'd beautiful princess dresses, a pirate costume, a Punky Brewster outfit, a Cousin Itt costume from Addams Family, a geniune Disney Alice in Wonderland dress (the best!) and, as seen inthe photo below, a Karate Kid costume. I had been a total tomboy and for my school pictures, I insisted on wearing my Karate Kid uniform.

Why, then, is it considered nerdy, weird or socially unacceptable with the general population for adults to wear up as a common characters, outside Halloween?

As any true fanboy or fangirl knows, dressing up in costume is called "cosplay," and, as adults, many people take this hobby very seriously. We spend hours perfecting these costumes and locate a lot of pride and joy in debuting our works at local conventions or events. Check out DragonCon in Atlanta and you will probably behold one of the most amazing costumes you've ever seen, complete with a parade through the downtown streets showcasing the meticulous work of numerous hardcore fans.

They have taken their passion for cosplay and turned it into a way to change people's lives.

Unfortunately, I don't own the Ahsoka costume over these photos, and sitting throughfour hours of makeup is not something that I can do on a daily basis. But being in costume for the entire day made me recognize that I don't have to merely dream about like a superhero I possess the power to be a real life superhero. We have the power to manipulate my destiny, make my personal decisions, achieve this much good with time, and live my entire life the Jedi way.

It's not necessary to dress up as your preferred character to change the world; however, it's certainly more enjoyable in costume!
