Fix Loose Eyeglasses having a Rubber Band

This instructable is made for an almost free fix to a extremely annoying problem of loose glasses.

No, its not a rubberband around the back of your head. :: )

I like to wear vintage eyeglasses and quite often they will be stretched out and wind up further down my nose than I want, often when my hands are far too busy to push rid of it up.

Much of the newer frames have great spring loaded hinges that may alleviate the situation. What can I believe that, I love the classics, and also the challenge of restoring a great pair of old spectacles.

Where maybe you have found somebody who can make lenses for old frames? I been surfing for someone who is able to do that for 25 years now. Even a vintage pair of RayBan sunglasses that we didn need a prescription for, no person could provide me with new lenses, even if it's just RayBan themselves. I gone to dozens of optometrists everywhere and they inform me that they can mindful about no blank anymore for those old glasses. Specialists if they could just buff away the scratches and so they say they can do that either. I love know how you found a solution to these problems.

I probably had 7 or so pairs of old frames fitted with new lenses. Even some old Ray Ban sunglasses. First I only say I live in Canada, On the other hand have had lenses placed into the frames within this instructable, which are old Bauch saftey glasses on the Walmart in Bellingham WA. The lenses don come pre cut. They've special machines that digitally cut the lens on the exact shape of Ray Ban sunglasses your frame. I watched them undertake it.
